THE BIGGER PICTURE
The message is a reference to a heated clash between Galatasaray and United 30 years ago. The Red Devils travelled to Istanbul for the second leg of their Champions League second round tie in 1993 and were met with a wild atmosphere, with fans holding up banners that read "Welcome to Hell". United needed a win but were held to a goalless draw and crashed out of the competition.
